The role
We are currently recruiting for a
Director- Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE)
to join our global team. The Director – QHSE will serve as a business partner to our Buildings and Cities business and play a critical role in shaping the QHSE landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnering with the Buildings & Cities teams to implement the Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE) frameworks within the Building and Cities businesses to create a leading QHSE culture and associated behaviours.
Managing and developing the QHSE team within the business line to apply subject matter expertise and provide leadership to achieve QHSE outcomes that meet the needs of projects and operations in line with SJs requirements and relevant legislations and regulations across all regions.
Ensuring that internal and external audits are conducted across all projects and officers and items arising are actioned promptly to eliminate and improve areas of concern.
Ensuring compliance with ISO Standards, regulations, and legislative changes.
Manage and lead the QHSE teams within the Business Line.
About you
Minimum 10-12 years’ experience, ideally in a HSE and/ or Quality Assurance management leadership capacity and systems role.
Leadership and strategic experience across an engineering consultancy industry with international scope (preferred).
Demonstrable experience in effectively managing a team for high performance and cohesion.
Build trusting and productive internal stakeholder relationships.
Establishing internal client networks with proven ability to develop and maintain trust.
Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality assurance and integrated business systems in a matrix organisation.

Demonstrated leadership experience.
Advanced computer database and Microsoft office software skills.
Evidence of strategic thinking, strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate analysis into actionable strategy.
