To provide leadership for Technical Services, New Product Introductions, Planning and Customer ServicesThe Role:
The job holder should be the focal point for all matters relating to New Product Introductions, Technical Services, Planning and Customer Services & LogisticsLink with Business Development team to support new business introduction into Dartford site.Work with Commercial Operations team to input to all contract activity for both new and existing business as required.Develop the technical, planning and customer services team to be customer focussed and drive new business in line with targets to achieve the Site StrategyManage contracts and quotations in line with site and corporate strategy around Pricing Excellence to get maximise value and drive growth.Integrate with other departments to ensure on time and in budget introduction of new business.Ensure strong project and programme management oversight of all site projects, specifically focussing on New Product IntroductionManage the Technical Support function, ensuring that there is an efficient supply of information and services to external and internal stakeholders.Lead the Planning and Customer Service and Production to achieve required delivery of technical and commercial services to existing and new clients.Fully integrate effective supply chain disciplines to deliver on time performance in commercial supply and launches of new products.Manage the procurement function to ensure co-ordinated and efficient supply of production (cost reduction programmes and key supplier management)Work closely with operations to develop production capacity plans and strategies for the medium and long term.Ownership for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)Other duties as assigned.The Candidate:
Higher qualification / degree in a scientific or other relevant subject.Experienced in providing strategic and operational or technical leadership in a customer driven environment.Would ideally have received certification in Lean 6-Sigma or similar efficiency improvement programmes.Strong understanding of manufacturing site operations, and technical requirements of the micronisation processes.Pharmaceutical Industry experience would be advantageous as a strong working knowledge of the requirements of a manufacturing organisation to be compliant with regulations, legislations and cGMP are an integral part of the chargeable services offered by Catalent.Experience of a manufacturing organisation, preferably with a make-to–order strategy, is highly desirable.Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.Catalent offers rewarding opportunities to further your career!
