We have over 275 employees worldwide.We are looking for great leaders to join the team responsible for driving business efficiency through adoption of best-in-class business systems, utilizing the latest enhancements to support the rapidly growing scale-up.As part of the engineering management team, this role is expected to act as a leader within the business, demonstrating on a daily basis the core Exclaimer values and behaviours and a positively contribute to cross-functional projects.This role encompasses the management of the key systems that enable the effective day to day operation of the business and link product, sales, data and finance together. The evolution of these systems to support the next stage of Exclaimer’s growth is still in its early stages and someone coming into this role has the opportunity to shape their long-term technical direction.This broad and wide-reaching role requires both technical expertise and honed communication skills, especially across stakeholder management, at all levels of the business. The preferred candidate will be experienced, able to adapt to change and someone who enjoys working within a dynamic fast paced environment.Key Responsibilities
Defining the long term strategy for the Business Systems, and refining that strategy to form the overall technical architecture that drives incremental technical enhancements.
Managing the day-to-day technical needs of the business systems, being the technical authority, maintaining good architectural practices and keeping systems in line with current best practices.
Working alongside a Product Manager for the Business Systems and key stakeholders to define the technical vision and roadmap for the evolution of the business systems, alongside the key system and workflow improvements.
Work closely with the Director of Data to ensure the technical approach across the business system aligns with company data and reporting needs.
Maintain overarching ownership of the wider end to end customer lifecycle for the business systems and our customer data.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the return-on-investment case and priority for improvements to business systems and report on long-term business benefits achieved.
Align short term improvements with long-term transformation to ensure that consistent direction of travel is achieved.
Manage the technical team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the business systems. Reducing reliance on external contractors and bring internal technical knowledge in house.
Deprecate legacy systems and ensure replacement systems meet the needs of the business’s future growth.
Manage stakeholder expectations and be the central point of communication for technical aspects of the business systems.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
An experienced engineering or enterprise applications leader, supporting agile teams with the ability to guide, facilitate and drive delivery.
Experience of working with Salesforce connected business eco system. Working with the NetSuite and ZAB and supporting departmental level integrations to remove friction points and automate manual processes.
Passionate with a background in software engineering or enterprise applications, with a strong knowledge of development and technical principles, methodologies, and values.
Extensive Salesforce development experience, or strong knowledge and understanding of, including Marketing Cloud, Lightning Web Components, Apex Programming, Lightning experience, Controllers, Triggers, APIs.
Bring strong engineering principles to business systems, such as change control, release notes, technical documentation and best practices.
Hands on and detail oriented, with a strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices and connecting technologies, coupled with practical experience.
Able to assess technical changes, understand them in context of the wider system and able to identify where new technological developments benefit the business.
Experience in debugging and diagnosis root cause of issues in business systems and identifying the underlaying cause.
Prior experience of working in a comparable high velocity technology business (SaaS, Fintech).
