Available due to retirement, this role will be in high demand. Operating globally in over 50 countries, this all-encompassing role will be varied, challenging and be a high profile role for an experienced tax professional. An excellent package is available with a long list of benefits; flexible and hybrid working.Your new role You will:Ensure all group businesses comply with local tax requirementsPrepare UK corporation and any necessary non-resident tax returns, dealing with resulting queries from HMRCProvide practical, technical advice to the business on how to structure new business initiatives, including sales arrangements and appropriate corporate structuresIdentify tax risks worldwide along with proposals for their evaluation and mitigation, and oversee management of major tax issues in conjunction with local managementLead preservation of tax exemptions by monitoring internal and external developments and policing compliance with local regulationsEnsure the agreed tax policy remains current according to business needs and make recommendations for changes to the Audit CommitteePrepare biannual reports for the Group Audit CommitteeLead a team of 5 ensuring a high-performing culture, assisting and developing team members as neededWhat you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant with a recognised tax qualification; ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA, ATII or equivalent. You will have significant UK and International tax experience and will be able to demonstrate experience of working with senior stakeholders, both internally, who may not have a finance background, or with external advisors. Previous leadership experience is advantageous.What you'll get in return You will receive a salary dependent on experience with an excellent benefits package including over 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. Hybrid working of 2 days in the office, flexible hours and a 35-hour working week are available.
