Director of Strategy - Software

Job DescriptionTHE SEARCH:Altus Partners are excited to be partnered with an investor-backed Software Unicorn which has secured significant funding from some of the world’s leading Private Equity, and Venture Capital funds. The business has a global presence and this role can be based either from London, Madrid, or Oslo. Their investment will help fuel an aggressive push into the US market and further development of new innovative technology, allowing to remain at the forefront of their industry, and drive them toward an eventual, high-profile IPO. They are seeking a Director of Strategy to work closely with the VP Strategic Finance and CFO. You will be a driving force in stetting the strategic agenda for the business, provide critical insight into business drivers, work closely with investors, and support on broad corporate development activity including M&A and JV’s. This is a truly unique opportunity to be a part of a new technology unicorn and one of Europe’s most exciting SaaS businesses.THE ROLE:Provide critical insight into business drivers, financial forecasts, and resultsDetermine where-to-play, how-to-win, expansion plans (geographies etc.) and key initiativesSupport wider corporate development activity, including M&A, partnerships, and joint venturesProduce extensive board pack materials to be presented regularly to internal and external stakeholders including current and potential investorsSupport business top-line and bottom-line growth via strategic and tactical pricingEvaluate the benefits and risks of key business decisions. Contribute to winning key commercial dealsBuild strong partnerships across the business and develop members of the wider teamProduce board pack materials to be presented regularly to key internal and external stakeholdersLead on a various investor relationsTHE REQUIREMENTS:5+ years’ experience from a top-tier consulting firm, venture capital / private equity, or investment bankingMBA from a leading institution is desirableExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHands-on attitude/Start-up mentality
