We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales in our dual branded IHG properties in Dundee, Scotland.Hotel Indigo and the Staybridge Suites, 187 keys in the 19th century converted linen mills with a salute to its industrial heritage in every area of the building.You will be joining these elite status hotels strengthening the already exceptional team of individuals dedicated to delivering excellent service and committed to remaining the best hotels in the city.ROLE OBJECTIVEIn this dynamic and challenging role, the Director of Sales will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets via bedrooms and Food & BeverageThe ideal candidate will be pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and the ability to effectively execute a focused sales plan for the agreed market segments of local & global corporates.Working closely with the General Manager and the central support team to determine appropriate sales strategies to maximise on the market potential. You will be tasked to work towards set targets while closely monitoring competitor activity to identify opportunities.KEY RESPONSABILITIESDrive Market Share and revenue performance for the property.Develop and implement strategies by segment and relevant distribution channels.Work with the Cycas revenue team to set Sales strategies and drive commercial action.Create and develop a robust sales plan for the property with key stakeholders.Develops, monitors, and adjusts sales, groups strategies as required based on business needs.Reviews sales account production monthly with revenue to identify patterns & volume of production to agree appropriate actions are taken.Plays an integral role in all sales negotiations for existing business and for new account(s) sign up.Develops strong partnerships with local organizations to further increase brand/product awareness.Develops strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional, and national tradeshows and client events.Negotiate room rates/packages with clients and prepare proposals and contracts.Attend Sales events when required.Report on a weekly/monthly basis all pipeline, contracts won, key activity in the month and next and top and bottom performing accounts presenting to the ownership.Partner with Cluster Director of Sales to maximize group level accounts and segments.Ensure our CRM tool in Salesforce is maintained and updated as per the required standard set by the organisation.Actively participate in the relevant area in the budgeting process.REQUIRMENTSA proven track record in a Senior Sales role, ideally in a branded hotel environmentExperience in the hospitality/hotel industry.Knowledge of overall hotel revenue management concepts, processes, and strategiesWell, presented with an outgoing personality who can drive new relationships as well as maintain existing ones.Sales focused, target and results driven with the understanding of overall business impacts.Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.Confident, ambitious, and pro-active with the ability to ‘read the room’.IN RETURNExcellent company benefits from IHG as well as CYCAS HOSPITALITYPrivate health coverFree parking (Subject to availability)15% On target bonus structure.Discounted hospitalityOver the past 14 years Cycas Hospitality have created an innovative hotel management company.
