This is a pivotal role within our Executive Team and key to delivering our mission to improve health and care for everyone in Scotland.As Director, you will bring drive and energy coupled with strong leadership skills to ensure robust and proactive assurance of care provided by NHSScotland and effective regulation for over 500 independent healthcare providers.
Working alongside a broad range of partners and agencies to provide assurance in the provision of public protection with a relentless focus on patient safety, you will need tact, diplomacy and integrity manage to manage some of the high profile and sensitive reviews of NHS services.Possessing excellent strategic leadership and influencing skills, you will play a key role in delivering the priorities outlined in our five year strategy, working collaboratively with a range of key internal and external stakeholders across Scotland.To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate senior level experience ideally gained in a health or social care setting, the exceptional leadership qualities needed to effect outcomes at a national level coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to fully engage with and influence others.This is a significant and sometimes challenging role but the rewards are many and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that what you do every day is making a real difference the quality and safety of health and care for the people of Scotland.Closing date for applications: 7 June 2024For informal discussions in the first instance, please contact Sarah Gracie at Eden Scott: #####
