About the role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Director of Public Affairs to lead a team. This hire sits on their senior management team, working closely with their Managing Director of Corporate Affairs and CEO.
They will be responsible for creating a public affairs strategy and leading on delivery. This role also involves representing the UK finance industry to senior corporate and political stakeholders, educating stakeholders on the position of this organisation as a thought-leader in several policy areas.
This Director of Public Affairs will develop and execute the organisation's party conference, parliamentary events, and general election strategy, and lead the political delivery of their manifesto.
The ideal candidate will have:
A deep understanding of the UK financial services sector and financial services policies.
At least 10 years' experience in policy and/or public affairs within the UK.
In-house experience within financial services.
Experience of managing at least one person.
