Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager of the technology center, the Director of Project integration is responsible for the direct operations functions within the specified technology center. This person provides leadership to the Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain functions as they directly operate within the business unit. This Director provides senior level coordination of all elements of a project to ensure that processes run efficiently, not in isolation from other projects, and meet all predefined objectives. While providing leadership to their team, this Director will work with both the Director of Manufacturing and the Director of Engineering to ensure project deliverables are achieved while delivering the Eclipse vision and entrepreneurial culture.
The Director of Project Integration job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Technical
Oversee the operations of Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain, with direct leadership for the Managers of those functions.
Support project planning process by monitoring existing workload and plans for pending projects. Ensure capacity is appropriate in relation to workload forecast and oversee resource assignment to projects
Ensure a robust project execution structure that ensures all stakeholder groups understand their function in ensuring milestone attainment metrics are met and project scope is delivered upon.
Conduct risk assessments for project integration structures and develop mitigation plans to proactively address problems through periods of change and growth
Work with global corporate function oversight for all integration departments to ensure consistent application of objectives within the business unit
Manage competing priorities of each department, allocating resources and making trade-offs where necessary to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
In consultation with HR, responsible for implementation and maintenance of talent management strategy for the team with regards to employee development, performance management, skills inventory and total rewards
Support established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies for their team, with associated budgets, ensuring alignment with both short and long term objectives
Travel:
Expectation of travel to Eclipse locations is less than 20% of time, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet organizational needs
Qualifications:
University degree or College diploma in engineering function, business administration, project management or similar focused program
15+ years of experience in the custom automation industry
10+ years with increasing responsibility as a Supervisor/Manager in a directly related line of work
10+ years of experience in project management and working directly on integrated projects
Experience setting strategic direction, developing budgets and business plans in a senior management role in a dynamic setting
Proven leadership skills over managers, providing mentorship and coaching
Computer skills required, including MS Office, and ERP software
