W Talent are representing a leading manufacturing company on the forefront of innovation in its industry, currently positioned for further product development. This organisation based in Kent, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join the team as Operations Director.
Position Overview:
As the Operations Director (OD), you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. We are looking for a visionary leader with a proven track record in operations management, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L: Full P&L responsibility
Leadership: Provide strategic direction and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the operations team.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity through lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including cost optimisation and revenue growth.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and collaboration.
Warehouse and Supply Chain Management: Oversee warehouse operations and optimise supply chain processes for timely delivery of products.
Product Development: Collaborate with R&D to drive innovation and align product development with market demand.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product quality and compliance.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and control procedures to optimise stock levels and minimise costs.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
Training and Development: Provide training opportunities for staff to enhance skills and foster career growth.
Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
Environmental Sustainability: Implement sustainable practices to minimise environmental impact.
Supplier Relationship Management: Lead procurement to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: Proven experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with ERP systems and lean principles; Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.

What’s on Offer:
Circa £70k +/- (15% dependent on experience) per annum + Bonus, Car / Car Allowance
