Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum
Location: Wallingford and travel throughout Oxfordshire
Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 33 days including Bank Holiday

The Director of Operations is a key member of the Style Acre Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for delivering high quality services to people in our supported living and day opportunity services. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, able to inspire and motivate a geographically dispersed team. They will be able to build and maintain positive relationships and demonstrate a passion for what we do whilst role modelling our key values: Caring, Respect, Honest, Ambitious and Collaborate.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
To deliver strategic and inspirational leadership of our care and support services, ensuring they are delivered in a way that puts people at the centre of their support, promoting the rights and choices of individuals.
To deliver great outcomes for the people we support and employ.
To ensure that all Style Acre services meet organisational and statutory requirements.
To be the Registered manager with CQC for our supported living services (Domicilliary Care).
To be the safeguarding lead for Style Acre.
To ensure compliance with relevant contracts, to act as Style Acre’s representative where appropriate.
Other Responsibilities:
To have oversight of our quality audit process and ensure audits and reviews have taken place as expected and are responded to appropriately.
To be the digitisation lead for the charity.
To ensure accurate records are maintained and are GDPR compliant.
To support the development of Style Acre’s strategy and communicate it as required.
To ensure the review and proper application of Style Acre’s policies and standards.
To ensure services are delivered in accordance with appropriate risk assessments, complying with regulatory, statutory and contractual requirements.
To develop positive and productive relationships with relevant stakeholders.
To report to the Board as required.
To ensure compliance to Health and Safety requirements
About You:
Relevant professional or management qualification, degree level desirable.
Level 4LMC or equivalent.
Extensive experience at middle / senior management level in the social care sector.
Experience of leading and delivering strategic change and complex projects.
Working with people with learning disabilities.
Experience of working with Local Authority Commissioners, families and circles of support.
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels (both orally and in writing) and to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
Networking, influencing and negotiation skills.
Experience of effectively managing change and delivering service improvements.
Ability to demonstrate effective people management skills through delegating, empowering, motivating and coaching managers and staff.
Effective Budget and resource management.
Financial and commercial acumen and ability to work with complex budgets.
Strategic problem-solving skills sufficient to resolve complex matters often with conflicting requirements.
The ability to work proactively, plan organise, optimise resources and complete tasks within agreed timescales.
Project management skills and experience to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation especially the 2014 Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Understanding of the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
To be assertive, confident and have the ability to initiate action when required.
To have enthusiasm for the work of Style Acre and drive to be the best.
To work flexibly according to the charity’s requirements and be willing to work across the charity, attend meetings which may require occasional weekend working.
