Tes is supporting the appointment of a Director of Junior School to join a High School based in Northamptonshire.Are you an inspirational leader, looking to further your career in the independent education sector?If you have excellent management skills and are an ambitious Head of Faculty/Department or someone looking to move into a Deputy Head level position this could be the opportunity for you.The roleAs the Director of Junior School, you will provide vision and leadership to the Junior School on behalf of and in collaboration with the Head of Northampton High School.You will ensure that all pupils aged 2 - 11 receive the best possible care, have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, and achieve the highest standards, in line with the ethos of the school and within the context of an independent girls-only, all-through 2-18 years school.You will contribute to the overall school Senior Leadership Team as required, implementing strategy such as admissions, finance, teaching and learning, pastoral and safeguarding, in addition to ensuring that curriculum provision is appropriate and relevant to the needs of all Junior School pupils.About youTo be considered for this role, you will be:A visionary leader, able to operate as part of the whole school Senior Leadership Team, setting high standards which promote excellence, inspire trust, confidence and respect within the entire school communityA strategic thinker able to articulate and share the all-through school vision of Northampton High SchoolA well-qualified, talented individual who has a sound understanding of the requirements of an all-girls, all-through school, and an appreciation of the opportunities that come from working closely with a linked Senior SchoolAble to drive recruitment and raise pupil numbers within the Junior SchoolThey are keen to hear from those with considerable leadership experience from within the independent school sector, however this does not have to come from a Junior School/Prep setting.
