Our Healthcare client is looking for an IT Director to join them to work alongside C-level management. This pivotal role involves operational management, with overarching responsibility for the day-to-day running of the IT department, which comprises direct reports on the Senior Management Team (SMT) and approximately 90-100 dedicated professionals.
The key focus of this role is to identify and improve processes, drive improvements, and ensure seamless IT service management.
As the IT Director your key responsibilities will include;
Operational Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas.
Leadership:
acting as a management consultant to the SMT, providing guidance and support to a department of around 100 staff members.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas of improvement within the department, develop and implement strategies to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
Support to Exec management:
Alleviate the operational load from the exec team, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives.
IT Service Management:
Ensure top-notch IT service management, infrastructure, core technology, and cyber security.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Project and Programme teams, which are already running smoothly.
The right IT director will have the following experience:
Proven track record at the IT Director level, with hands-on experience managing operational IT departments of approximately 100 people.
Leadership:
Strong, firm, and assertive leadership style, capable of driving change without alienating team members.
Public & Private Sector:
Demonstrated ability to navigate the complexities and politics of the public sector environment, whilst having experience of working in the private sector.
Problem-Solving:
Skilled in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
Efficiency Focused:
Passionate about process improvements and driving efficiency across all operations.
