This an exciting opportunity for an excellent leader with a passion for education and its continued improvement. The role will work locally and regionally with a remit to influence and shape education nationally. A key aspect of this role will be providing strategic leadership and support to the Head of School at Breckland School as they continue to gain the skills and experience required of an outstanding Headteacher.
We are looking for a second Director of Education to join the Executive Director of Education (Secondary) and a team of subject specialists and Executive Headteachers to lead secondary school improvement across the 9 secondary schools and 4 school sixth forms (7,000 students), as well as contribute and influence all areas of the trust's operations.
We are inviting candidates with extensive educational leadership experience and a knowledge and understanding of creating and maintaining outstanding secondary practice to apply for the role. You will have a background as a Secondary Headteacher and are likely to have been in a leadership role in an existing multi academy trust.
The role will take a key part in setting the strategy for the trust and its daily operations, working very closely with the CEO and executive colleagues. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of secondary education and strive for excellence at a time when the landscape is changing dramatically. An innovative and creative approach is key as well as the ability to influence and build relationships. The trust is looking for a candidate to match the ambition they have and create a culture of collaboration to achieve it.
Unity Schools Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust of 35 schools, with further expansion on the horizon. The ambition of Unity Schools Partnership is to achieve a step change in the quality of education provided by primary, secondary and special schools and that its schools are achieving top quartile performance by 2026. The trust expects its work to be characterised by ethical leadership, an ambition for improvement at pace and the expectation that remarkable change can happen.
