Director of Creative, Design & ProductionDepartment: CreativeEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: LondonDescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Creative, Design & Production to become a key member of the wider Marketing & Creative leadership team.This role leads and oversees the Creative, Design and Production Operations of our internal creative team and is responsible for driving its overall success, growth, and creative excellence. With a blend of creative acumen, business leadership, agility, innovation and a proven ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams, the role plays a pivotal part in driving the efficient execution of creative projects, ensuring the highest quality output, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of the creative output for UKTV, ensuring the structure and output is fit for purpose as we drive digital transformation. What we would like you to bring to the role….key experience, knowledge, skills & personal qualities
Experience of/in
A senior leadership role within an internal or external creative agency or related field. Demonstrable success in building high-performing teams and delivering creative excellence.
Fiscal management across a significant budget.
Leading and managing a team.
KnowledgeDeep understanding of creative and production processes, including design, advertising, branding, and digital media.Skills & personal qualities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
Strategic thinker with a keen business acumen and the ability to align the department’s efforts with broader organizational objectives.
Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:
Lead a high performing team, providing them with clear goals and direction. Work to inspire, empower, motivate, and develop them, fostering an inclusive environment where they can perform at their best.
Develop and implement strategies to drive creative excellence, innovation, and ensure these deliver on time and on budget.
Conduct regular reviews and critiques with team to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaboration:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the Marketing Leadership team and the wider business, ensuring the creative department delivers strategic and impactful creative solutions.Department Oversight:
Develop and manage the budget across the department, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource allocation.
Analyse performance of the department, its processes, and workflows to assess its ability to deliver against company objectives.
Work with the Creative Director to uphold high standards of creative output, ensuring that all work delivers against expectations and industry best practices.
Implement and optimise production workflows to ensure seamless and efficient processes from ideation to final delivery.
Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement processes.
Identify opportunities for automation, technology integration, and process improvement to enhance productivity.
Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including people, equipment, and technology, to meet project timelines and objectives.
Work closely with production to balance workloads and address resource constraints. Ensuring prioritisation and rephasing of work where needed.
Innovation and Trends:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative innovations to keep the agency at the forefront of the industry.
Encourage a culture of experimentation and exploration within the creative team.
Upskill the department to ensure they have the capability to deliver data driven, multi-variant campaigns and can optimise in real time, throughout the campaign period.
Ensure the department is structured to delivery company growth, and support performance marketing and agile campaign responses.
