Job Summary
The Director – Field Recruiting & Talent will serve as an integral thought partner accelerating problem-solving and driving business outcomes through human capital strategies within the AmeriGas business. This role will partner with AmeriGas HR leadership team to lead the field recruiting function and build talent programs that support the employee experience. This position is responsible for partnering with HR Centers of Excellence and providing strategic direction and consultation to senior and mid-level leaders, as well as people managers on all matters involving employees including compensation, talent retention strategies, leadership development, talent management, organizational development, and change management. This role also plays a critical role in HR delivery and is responsible for governance, standardization, continuous improvement, coordination, prioritization, and scheduling of work execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create a strategy for field recruiting execution against workforce planning needs and lead the field recruiting function (approx. 8 recruiters) to perform high volume (responsible for approx. 1000 hires annually) hiring that meets the business needs. Implements ways to streamline the hiring process to ensure high quality of talent and create meaningful candidate and hiring manager experiences.
Manage advertising, lead generation, and supplemental recruiting vendors to ensure our brand is accurately represented and conveys the AmeriGas experience to prospective applicants. Oversees advertising budget and tracks monthly ad spend to ensure the lowest possible cost per hire.
Oversee strategic HR initiatives from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads. Partner with HR leadership team and COEs to design and deploy core HR programming that supports business objectives and positions AmeriGas for continued growth and optimal execution. Programs can include onboarding, employee value proposition, goal setting, offboarding, engagement initiatives, capability building, core training, strategic communications, etc.
Evaluate and develop the AmeriGas HR Analytics strategy, pairing HR data with Operational data to guide and advise on business decisions. Summarize data for leadership outlining key insights into current and future labor and talent needs for the organization.
Identify and support the build of optimal structures, identify recruiting needs, develop, and execute best practices for hiring and talent assessment, capability building, and development in partnership with the enterprise Talent Management team to build high-performing teams.
Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the overall experience of our employees. Partner with safety, operations, and HRBPs to identify initiatives that improve the field employee experience. Initiatives can include onboarding, communications, recognition, wellness and employee engagement, and other initiatives to improve workplace culture.
Create the AmeriGas HR programs that are responsible for governance, standardization, continuous improvement, and plan and ensure correct prioritization and scheduling of work execution to meet business goals.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Demonstrated ability to deal directly with client leads to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.
Effectively manage ambiguity and change; comfortable with uncertainty.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or related field.
10+ years of strong HR Business Partner experience combined with experience leading Talent Management, Organizational Development, Performance Management and/or other global process area as part of a global HR COE. Experience building out Functional Groups, Growth/Sales/M&A HR experience.
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification or equivalent preferred.
