Example Shift:Week 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri 3pm -11pm (24 hrs)

The Direct Support Professional role is for those who like a challenge and the reward that comes with it. A DSP should have attention to detail and creativity because you are both a caregiver and life coach to promote independence. Our DSPs are caring and energetic people determined to find ways to help people with intellectual or physical disabilities live more fulfilling lives.

Some of What You Might Do:
Help guide individuals with activities of daily living (examples: personal care, meals, and medication, outings and shopping trips).
Participate in activities and trips to places like the zoo, the beach, sporting events and others to help integrate into the community.
Support the individual by helping with communication and self-expression
General housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
You get to be creative in helping look for fun activities or ways for individuals to join in community activities
What We Require From You:
One (1) year of experience in supporting individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, preferred –
FREE MED / CPR / DENFENSIVE DRIVING TRAINING PROVIDED
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record, required
(personal vehicle not required, use of company vans to transport individuals)
Must submit to a criminal record check, background checks, and drug test in accordance with state requirements, required
Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English,required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds , required
*sign on bonus for new hires or eligible rehires only; part-time role has pro-rated sign-on amount dependent on hours
