. You’ll be a part of our small but growing UK Growth team working closely with the Senior Growth Manager, Head of Commercial Operations, Customer Success Manager and other wider stakeholders.
This role is a key part of our community growth strategy. Your team are our Modern Milkman ambassadors, constantly having direct interaction with our active or potential customers. Not only do they need to deliver subscribers but ensure we’re setting our Milkies up for success to deliver silently to doorsteps throughout the night. To do this you’ll need to drive efficiencies through our existing channels and launch new ones from ideation to scale.
You will take on all direct sales channels, with an initial focus on driving improvements within our telesales channel. You’ll test, iterate and scale our fledgling events channel and take on our door-to-door sales responsibilities, working closely with external partners to drive improvements and exploring the potential of building sales team’s to cover gaps within our territory.
Responsibilities:
Revamp the telesales channel through building and executing a hiring strategy, developing team culture and driving performance
Responsible for the performance of direct sales channels, with focus on increasing the quality and quantity of subscribers, relative to the cost of acquiring them
Work with external sales partners to drive performance improvements
Develop sales and acquisition strategies tailored to Modern Milkman target market, product offerings, and competitive landscape.
Identify the most effective sales channels, pricing models, and tactics to drive subscriber growth at an efficient cost.
Requirements:
Experience in building high performing team cultures
Experience leading a sales team to deliver against ambitious targets
A self-starter, able to take an initiative from ideation to execution to scale through an iterative approach
Adaptable and flexible, able to pivot quickly in response to market dynamics, customer needs, and internal challenges.
Results orientated, tracking progress against goals, and take decisive action to achieve or exceed targets.
Resilient with the ability to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity.
Strong and empathetic leadership style, providing support and guidance to help their team members succeed
Effective and personable communicator to proactively organise, influence and able to communicate up and down.
Ability to project manage strategies cross functionally
Data driven with a strong commercial awareness
A team player, able to work in a fast-paced changeable environment

We try to complete our hiring process within 2-3 weeks. This is typically what it looks like:
First stage: Is a telephone call with Vivien Dagnall (People & Culture Partner), lasting 30 mins. This will be more of a ‘get to know you’ chat and to discover if we are the right fit for each other! It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
If successful, you will be emailed a take-home task of a data set & five questions, that we would like you to bring the answers to – on the next formal stage interview.
Second stage: Interview with Aidan Kiely (Senior Growth Manager) & Dom Williams (COO), lasting 60 mins on site in our London office, or virtually on Teams.
Third stage: Interview with Rick Wadsworth (Head of Commercial Operations) & Victoria Hubbard (UK Customer Service Manager), lasting 30 mins on Teams.
Final Ways of Working Interview: The final stage will be with Lu Mooney (Director of People & Culture) & Simon Mellin (CEO), lasting 1 hour on Teams.
