Direct Marketing Officer / Fundraiser Engagement Officer
£31,000 - £36,000
London – hybrid working (must live within the M25)
you a genuine people person?
you thrive on face-to-face interaction?
to continue your career in the charity / not for profit space?
Our client is a small but very well-known London based charity committed to saving the lives of Londoners and those visiting the Capital.
An opportunity has arisen for someone to own the fundraiser relationships, whether that be with agency partners, doctors, nurses or anyone else at the heart of the fundraising team.
This is a true ‘front facing’ opportunity that will see you have a direct impact on the outcome of the fundraising teams. One day you could be delivering training to a group of paid agency fundraisers via an agency, the next you could be on a ‘mission’, on the ground with medical staff getting a real sense of the critical work this charity delivers.
Lots of your time will be spent working with fundraising teams, delivering important face to face training, charity updates, refresher courses. A day in the office or from home could be spent writing and collating new training material or reconciling invoices or looking at the success of fundraising initiatives.
Working closely with the Direct Marketing Manager this is fun, rewarding role and you would be joining at a very exciting time as they look to achieve record breaking donations for one of their biggest campaigns to date.
What experience do I need to work as Direct Marketing Officer?
It’s highly likely you will have gained experience in the charity or not for profit sectors already, ideally in a face-to-face role involving public speaking, delivering face to face training or similar. You might have experience in a community or appeals type position and spent time outside of the office talking to people whether that be supporters, fundraisers, external fundraising agencies or charity workers.
In addition, we would love to see some of the following:
organisational skills
attentional to detail
basic to intermediate Excel skills for invoice reconciliation
for charitable organisations
of delivering information / training face-to-face
some knowledge of compliance / charity code of conduct
If you live in the London area, or a short commute away and want to work for an incredible charity where not everyday is spent behind a desk, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Please note you must submit your CV to be considered, please do not call regarding the role.
Shortlisted candidates will receive a call from a Consultant to talk through the opportunity in more detail.
