Digital Signal Processing Electronic Engineer
Day Rate: £500 - 600
Inside IR35 (6 months)
BPSS to start (SC a bonus not essential)
South East or South West England
Days on site: flexibility ideally 2 days on site
We are looking for a senior DSP / VHDL Engineer with experience in digital signal processing and VHDL development to contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and integration of advanced space digital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, test, and integrate VHDL modules implementing DSP algorithms.
Develop embedded C/C++ firmware control algorithms.
Conduct end-to-end simulations of modules, sub-systems, and the full system using VHDL, C, and Matlab.
Collaborate with the team on system validation and verification test campaigns.
Gain expertise in radio communication technologies for space and ground-based satellite modems.
Contribute to the full lifecycle development of space missions.
Requirements:
Strong experience in DSP with proficiency in C coding language.
Previous experience with VHDL development is essential.
Experience working on ISL waveforms in space is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
