We’re recruiting for an award-winning ecommerce sector client currently going through a significant period of expansion and reinvestment. They’re at the start of an ambitious 3-year growth phase that will see many exciting changes rolled out across the company.

They’re presently bringing several marketing functions in-house to enable more control and analysis, which has created this new job opportunity. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing as a senior individual within the team, this person will develop
a competitive and profitable performance marketing programme for the group.
Role overview:
Support the growth of the business through a performance marketing strategy that is focussed on business growth at an acceptable rate of return.
Develop and own the performance marketing strategy across search engine platforms such as Google Ads, social platforms using programmatic and automated methods.
Build campaigns based on extensive range of products and overall marketing programmes.
Forecasting and development of strategies to ensure retain and grow competitive position within search results.
Create and own an analytical framework to understand the performance marketing domain and optimise campaigns.
Analyse and implement performance marketing optimisations resulting in a positive customer response to activities such as greater CTR, reduced journey attrition, and higher conversion.
Seek effective ways to test new campaigns and profitable activities focussed on growth.
Create and manage competitor analysis and adjust the marketing strategy accordingly.
Seek new ways to grow revenue and reduce costs thus increasing EBITDA.
Foster a spirit of entrepreneurialism that creates great traffic driving campaigns, awareness, and acquisition.
Development and management of the key routes to market, including Google Advertising, Social Networks, Retargeting channels etc.
Deliver growth to sales targets, customer segments and keeping cost ratio within limits.
Develop a profitability model that factors in the initial purchase and then seeks to measure effectiveness via the lifetime value of the customer.
Manage and understand the relationships across product categories, digital marketing funnels, customer marketing.
Work closely with ecommerce and marketing team members to streamline marketing and trading activities, maximising key trading periods/ day-to-day commercial performance.
Oversee cross category merchandising, ensuring product is shown across performance marketing networks to maximise potential traffic.
Act as the subject matter expert for performance marketing understanding it from a customer and commercial perspective.
Define the roles of Social and SEO and ensure optimised and the performance marketing programme is balanced with great content that is indexable for key categories.
Ensure timely, budget-conscious, and strategically aligned delivery of performance campaigns.
