Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 per week

Sweet Squared acquired five new brands in 2024 and has ambitious growth targets and a focus on further improving our digital marketing and ecommerce offering. This Digital Marketing Manager role is therefore of utmost importance to the business and will be a dynamic and exciting role for someone to get stuck into.
Your main focus will be optimising our B2B and B2C websites, maximising sales through merchandising, UX and on-site conversion. You will manage an assistant, who will help with the more administrative elements of this. But you will have primary responsibility and accountability for the growth of this channel.
You will also be responsible for both the strategy and execution of our performance marketing (paid digital advertising, SEO and email). You’ll need to work closely with other members of the marketing team in order to leverage content, data and promotions and drive ROAS in these channels. Naturally, analysing performance and reporting back to stakeholders in an important aspect of the role.
In short, the successful candidate will apply their ecommerce experience to optimise our website, email performance and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Achievement of KPIs for our website and performance marketing channels
Revenue and cost management with a focus on customer conversion to online purchasing
Drive customer engagement and sales with a focus on upsell, cross sell and increasing customer retention
Support the brand teams in planning and delivering product, campaign and promotion launches
Manage and optimise UX best practices across the website including search results, product merchandising and utilising user flow heatmapping to direct decisions.
Create, manage and optimise our Google and Meta ad campaigns
Create and manage website content (homepages, navigation, landing pages, PLPs, PDPs)
Collaborate with our external agencies to maximize the value of our partnerships andestablish a strategic road map for the development of our website.
Create, monitor and optimise the performance of website promotions and campaigns
On-page and technical SEO
Oversee our email marketing platform, as well as creating and managing workflows to improve the UX
Analyse and report on the performance of all our digital marketing channels
Stay updated on ecommerce and performance marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
What we’re looking for in a candidate:
Experienced Digital Marketing professional who has been ‘hands-on’ with all of the responsibilities outlined above
Track record in improving online sales performance, conversion, UPT, AOV and minimising customer drop off
Very high professional standards and attention to detail
Self-starter team player who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced, dynamic environment who is very comfortable with technology and learns new software quickly
Someone who invites challenge and challenges others, but always with love and respect
Experienced in using ecommerce platforms, ideally BigCommerce
Experienced in the following platforms is ideal but not essential: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Klaviyo, Attraqt and Styla
Ability to confidently communicate at all levels, including with senior management
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a close eye for detail
Strong people and stakeholder management skills with a desire to continue to develop under the mentorship of an experienced line manager.
A strategic thinker, with strengths in multi-tasking and prioritising
A passion for (and relevant experience within) the hair and beauty sector, but this is absolutely not essential
