Digital Marketing Executive (12 month FTC) Basildon, Essex Up to £30,000 per annum Our client who is a well-established organisation, dedicated to the field of consumer protection are currently looking for a Digital Marketing Executive. The ideal candidate will join their team based in Basildon, Essex for part of the working week in a hybrid role. Responsibilities: This role will have responsibility for helping to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a range of marketing activities and campaigns to grow the companies range of products, services, and events. The particular focus of this role is to take the lead on all elements of digital marketing and content development. Excellent copywriting skills, a good eye for design, and knowledge of the various digital tools and platforms are all essential as is a desire to learn new skills (including Video Production). As we will be redeveloping a number of our websites during your initial 6+ months, you will play a pivotal role in major projects and working closely with the team. Main Responsibilities & Duties: The ideal candidate would have excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write persuasive and engaging copy, targeted at a variety of audiences, while working to tight deadlines.
Excellent knowledge of the popular digital marketing and development tools (GA4, Trello, and Canva). Good knowledge of the common Website Content Management Systems, such as WordPress and its web-builder plugins (ideally, with basic HTML) Experience of working with a Web Development company or other creative/technical agency. Good knowledge of Google Ads and Analytics A keen interest in all aspects of digital marketing and website/digital development.
Skills & Knowledge:
Good working knowledge and experience across the digital marketing mix including website optimisation, paid and organic search and social activity, and email marketing (i.e. newsletters and member/stakeholder communications). Excellent organisational skills A collaborative working style The ability to engage, persuade and influence others, including fellow employees and stakeholders, using a variety of methods (including meetings, presentations, corporate events and networking). Good technical literacy A knowledge or a strong interest in the relevant legal, reputational and web standards compliance issues, particularly including Accessible web design. An optimistic and flexible can-do attitude A positive team-player, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, customer-centric approach. A good listener, who learns quickly, and be happy to share your knowledge and experience with those around you. Organised and efficient
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 PA Job Type: Maternity Cover 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexible working between the hours of (7am-7pm) Total of 37 hours a week. Hybrid position (in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays) after full training is given.
