About the company:
Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust compromising of nine schools, seven primary schools and two 11-16 secondary schools, all located within a tight geographic hub in and around Pontefract.
The Trust’s central team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Marketing Officer Apprentice to join our team on a fixed term 18-month contract. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Trust Marketing and Communications Manager.

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Officer Apprentice with Pontefract Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Pontefract.
Job Description:
We are looking for an individual who has a friendly manner and is able to communicate effectively with others and work effectively as part of a team, but also work independently using their own initiative.
The purpose of this role will be to provide support with digital marketing (including website maintenance and social media content) to promote and maintain the Pontefract Academies Trust brand, publicise events and support with recruitment. The Digital Marketing Executive Apprentice will work alongside the Trust Marketing and Communications Manager to drive forward marketing objectives, strategies and aims.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
Digital Marketing:
Provide website content support – including copy writing and website compliance.
Account management for the nine school’s social media channels.
Develop engaging, innovative content for social media daily.
Assist with developing engaging content for use across all digital platforms, including writing social media and blog posts.
Work with the wider marketing team to produce cohesive campaigns.
Monitor and report performance of social media content.
Regularly liaise with schools to gather positive news stories.
PR and Media
Support the marketing and communications team by writing and distributing media releases.
Assist with the organisation of, and provide support at, school and Trust events when needed, such as GCSE Results Day and Celebration Evenings.
Design and Print
Proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy.
Work with external stakeholders to brief on creative design and print requirements.
Other
Raise purchase orders for marketing and communications expenditure.
Obtain advertising/print quotes, negotiate price and processing.
Attend marketing planning and implementation meetings as required.
Monitor the central Marketing inbox.
Provide administrative support to the team as required.
Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Marketing and Communications Manager and Trust team.
Qualifications:
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
Skills Required:
Possess IT literacy with a proficient understanding of MS Office including Outlook.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Display strong attention to detail in all tasks and projects.
Some knowledge of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
Desirable: Experience with or a passion for photography.

Act as a self-starter with the capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrate an interest in cultivating a career within Marketing.
Showcase initiative in problem-solving and task execution.

Master the art of crafting compelling content tailored for diverse audiences and a variety of marketing channels, ensuring sensitivity and effectiveness in communication.
Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
Develop, understand, and apply marketing briefs and plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand consistency.
