About The Company and Role
This bank specialist Business and Retail bank, offering Business & Charity current accounts, savings accounts, residential mortgages and business loans. But it’s also so much more than that. As part of The Salvation Army, our mission is to serve customers and communities with compassion and integrity. The position of Digital Marketing Assistant consists of assisting the Marketing and Communications Manager to attract business, charity and individual customers with funds to place on Deposit (within RBL savings accounts) via the direct channels.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Google AdWords campaigns, monitor and report on results (Impressions, CTR, Conversion Rates).
With support from our Digital partner Selesti and the Marketing and Communication Manager formulate and deliver a SEO plan, using keywords that have been successful in the Google AdWords campaigns.
Optimise the navigation, useability and design of landing pages and include case studies in product pages to improve website page rankings on Search engines (SEO).
Assist with on-boarding and application form design to feed-in to the Digital Transformation project.
Implement page titles, links within the RBL website, onsite links to other sites and links to our site from other sites with the aim of improving RBL website page rankings on search engines (SEO).
Use Google Analytics to report on SEO and CRO results for the website.
Advertise and maintain information on Comparison sites (where we advertise our Savings range and banking) and monitor enquiry and conversion results driven from Comparison sites (Moneyfacts etc).
Report on social media Click Through Rates (CTR) and engagements rates.
Deliver email campaigns via our email distribution tool (Pure 360), monitor and report on results compared to industry standards.
Test and learn direct campaigns to selected commercial lending sectors identified for direct contact (mainly faith sector).
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
GCSE and A level English language essential
Vital experience using Google Adword and SEO
A degree in marketing (not essential but an advantage)
1 or 2 years’ experience in a Marketing or communications team (preferably within a bank or a financial services organisation)
Extensive working experience with MS Office applications: Word/Excel/Power point
Knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media e.g. Content Management Systems – CMS (WordPress), LinkedIn, Google Analytics, URL tracking via Google Analytics, email distribution tools (Pure 360), keyword research and backlink tracking tools (Semrush).
