Job DescriptionDigital DesignerThe EssentialsJob Title: Digital Designer.Salary Bracket: £35K (F/T) + bonus.Location: Stroud (Remote-first, 1-2 days/week in the office).Key Skills: Graphic design for social, marketing, landing pages.The OpportunityFreja launched in October 2020 as a small lockdown project (originally called Take Stock) with big ambitions: to build the bone broth category in Europe. Since then, we’ve become a category-leading product combined with a DTC-first business model, driving brand awareness, category education, and product demand with digital marketing, whilst building out multichannel distribution. We’ve achieved rapid growth across all sales channels, successfully raised an investment round, and won a few awards along the way (including Food & Drink Startup of the Year).The stocks and broths category has seen little innovation in the last 10 years, and is characterised by highly processed products. Bone broth is a premium subcategory originating from the US, now rapidly growing in the UK and Europe, driven by numerous consumer trends such as free-from, gut health, keto and paleo diets, and an increasing demand for natural and premium store-cupboard staples. We’ve rapidly become the UK market leader, and have a clear roadmap to establish ourselves across Europe.We’re a small team that punches above its weight. We like to work with people who are proactive, entrepreneurial and commercial, with first-class communication skills. The key to success in our business is to hit the ground running, take ownership of your role, manage upwards, and make great things happen.The business is remote-first, with frequent face to face meetings and workshops. As such, the ideal candidate will need the ability to travel to Stroud.The Role & Responsibilities -There’s an exciting opening for a Digital Designer to join the team, a key position in a rapidly growing brand. We are looking for someone who will:Create static assets for organic and paid social media.Design and build landing pages on Shopify, Unbounce & Amazon.Design and build emails in Klaviyo.Input into print and packaging design.Own the visual identity of the brand and present solutions that support the brand strategy.Follow (and input where necessary) brand guidelines and ensure assets are consistent across all platforms.Key Skills & Experience -The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience as a digital designerAdvanced skills in Figma and PhotoshopExperience with multiple CMS platforms - Unbounce, Shopify, KlaviyoMotion graphics and video editing skills are desirableIdeally worked in-house at a consumer brand for 1-2 years with a strong and consistent visual identity, or at a high volume design agency with a relevant consumer portfolio.Understand the importance of following brand guidelines, but also able to sprinkle design magic at the right moment!Attention to detail is a must and of leading importance.An interest in health, nutrition and wellness.Understand the requirements of different digital marketing platforms, with excellent knowledge of digital online platforms.Highly organised to manage multiple projects, and efficient to produce high volume of quality content.A willingness to grow with the company.Comfortable with artworking any design projects and confident seeing through all stages of a project from concept to completion.Current right to work and live in the UK.What’s in it for you -The opportunity to play a key role in a growing challenger brand.Proper responsibility for a strategically important area.£35k salary + company performance bonus.All employees will have EMI share options, giving them the opportunity to participate in our successHybrid remote-first role, 1-2 days per week in the office.Flexible working hours.25 days holiday plus bank holidays.The tech you need to get the job done.Allocated budget and time off for personal and professional training and development.Plenty of bone broth!
