The new Digital Advisor for Central Government will be pivotal to building on our existing public sector offerings and driving the continued growth through focused customer engagement and proposition creation for this, the largest and most successful industry vertical Version 1 serves today.The mission of the Office of the CTO is to inspire and build an exciting future for both our customers and Version 1. We will do this through strategic offering aligned communities, clear differentiated propositions and capabilities, increased focus with key partners, enhanced focus on customer innovation. As part of our ambitious growth plans for Version 1 in the UK, Ireland and beyond, we are looking to hire market-leading advisory talent. The Digital Advisor roles are a pivotal part of the Version 1 strategy and will provide a focal point for our customers and commercial sales teams by defining, inspiring and evangelising the complete Version 1 digital, data and cloud story.QualificationsThe attributes that would make you successful in this role include:Extensive experience of working with Central Government and Public Sector organisationsObsessed with customer success and delivering on customer goalsStrong enterprise architecture and solution architecture abilities and practical experienceEntrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial focus and ability to build winning propositionsStrong personal relationships across public sector IT and business leaders and with supporting industry partnersExperience of leading complex deals, from solution definition through to pricingTrack record of creating innovative commercial models to deliver customer value with cost competitivenessExperienced in working with major UK and Irish government procurement frameworks and modelsStrong awareness and understanding of public sector policies and strategies, including digital, data, cloud, AIExperience of working with revenue collection and/or grant and paying agenciesCurious and creative – constructing innovative solutions and differentiating against the competitionGreat storytelling abilities, comfortable in public speaking / communication including video and eventsStrong technology perspective and understandingAble to lead and inspire others including technology colleagues working in these accountsStrong alignment to the Version 1 Core Values and Leadership Principles.The Digital Advisor for Central Government is an Enterprise Architect with strong Solution Architecture skills, who will work with our existing clients and with new prospects to create compelling propositions pulling together technology and business capabilities, customer stories, intellectual property, accelerators, industry, and common customer challenges. You will work as a partner to commercial sales team and practice delivery teams to drive the growth through existing accounts and in new public sector customers across the portfolio offerings of Version 1. You will use your understanding of central government drivers and plans to draw together Version 1 offerings to deliver customer success and drive our continued growth, while working with internal teams to learn of potential opportunities, grow existing capabilities and ensure successful outcomes. You will be comfortable working across internal teams and structures as well as working across technology and business domains.The role will be customer facing and market led expecting 50-60% of a typical week to be spent working with customers and prospects, as well as supporting bids and proposals that demonstrate the best of Version 1’s Global capability and story.Success will include the development of compelling and differentiated propositions for Central Government (leveraging our unique accelerators and evolving these to lead the market), engaging the Version 1’s delivery community with regular forums and other touchpoints, and leading the direction for creation of new capabilities to maximise our growth potential and ensure the success of the story we want to tell.The successful candidates will undertake the following activities as part of the role (aligned to our Strength in Balance model), we don't expect you to have had experience across all of the following, but an understanding and demonstrable experience is beneficial:Customer SuccessBuild on existing strong relationships with senior IT and business leaders in Central GovernmentBring deep understanding and experience of working with Central GovernmentRegularly demonstrate market evangelism, key notes and presentations increasing Version 1 presenceDevelop and produce compelling and opinionated thought leadership outputs that inspiresEngage and build relationships with key customers testing to ensure our services are market leading and responding to needsLead Version 1 teams by example ensuring that new services and propositions are successfulEmpowered PeopleProvide the linkage between Technologists and Commercial leads and able to talk Central Government policy and operations, across business and technologyPublic sector delivery team community leadership / orchestrationWork with HR, L&D, Commercial and Portfolio to define appropriate learning pathways to build our Central Government capabilitiesStrong OrganisationBe the authority in Central Government for Version 1, across perspectives including business, procurement, technology, implementation and service delivery domainsBuild great relationships with Central Government leaders – both in existing customers and in prospectsLead by influence across the organisation working with technology leaders in our portfolio business lines to build the best story and ensure we have the right delivery capability for successBid and customer presales support – acting as bid architect and domain expert for any large public sector opportunitiesEnsure reporting and KPIs attainment including demand collation and pipeline management across Version 1 portfoliosAdditional InformationAt Version 1, we believe in providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes their well-being, professional growth, and financial stability.One of our standout advantages is the ability to work remote or with a hybrid schedule along with business travel, allowing our employees to strike a balance between work and life.
