The Dietetic service at Wirral University Teaching Hospital is looking for a new Team Lead - the role would encompass the day-to-day management and leadership of the team, alongside a clinical commitment and close working with the management team. The clinical commitment is likely to be in stroke services, however there may be some flexibility in this.Main duties of the job
To be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day line management of staff, including first line HR processes, and the provision of AHP services in a designated AHP team. To provide assessment and treatment to own specialist caseload as an autonomous clinician, maintaining a high standard of clinical practice. To provide Leadership in area of work and to be a role model to all AHP staff across the directorate. To organise and participate in providing 7 day services and an extended working day, as required. To work closely with the Clinical leads and AHP management team to provide a coordinated, quality service.

Person SpecificationQualifications, Specific Experience & TrainingEssential
Degree in Dietetics, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, or a qualification of an equivalent level recognised by Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) HCPC Registration At least 4 years post graduate experience (including experience as band 5 AHP to consolidate basic post-graduate skills & to develop more specialist skills followed by appropriate experience , in a relevant area of work at band 6 (or equivalent) level) Evidence of significant and relevant post registration training and relevant evidence in CPD portfolio in order to prove development of specialist clinical skills and development of management skills.

Ability to work as an autonomous clinician, managing own case load, time, using clinical reasoning and analytical skills to perform appropriate assessment, identify problems and identify appropriate treatment plan To have the analytical ability to be able to review treatment / services, with evidence of taking part in audit. To have management skills, organisational skills, good time management skills and problem solving abilities re service and staff issues To demonstrate leadership and motivational skills, to be a good role model.
