My client is seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of a DevOps Support Engineer, contributing to our team based in North West London, and providing support for their tech platform hosted on the cloud. This position suits those with a strong inclination towards automation and a desire to diversify their DevOps expertise.
Working closely with their Chief System Architect and their agile technical teams, you will be responsible for the upkeep and expansion of their AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC tools, and observability stack.
Responsibilities :
Diagnosing issues and delivering support for crucial systems in a mixed Windows/Linux environment on AWS.
Streamlining infrastructure deployment, operation, and maintenance through IaC tools such as Terraform and configuration management utilising Ansible.
Elevating security and compliance levels throughout our network and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with legal tech compliance standards.
Deploying monitoring, logging, and observability tools to enhance system reliability, performance, and incident response.
Developing and refining CI/CD pipelines to ensure stability and quality across all phases of delivery.
Technical Requirements :
Advanced understanding and proficiency with the AWS cloud platform.
A great understanding of Linux systems (Ubuntu) and Windows Systems expertise would be beneficial
Advanced experience with Terraform and Ansible
Experience in both PowerShell and Bash Scripting (PowerShell is more heavily required to start but Bash will become the main language)
Great understanding of Microservices
Experience with Datadog for monitoring and observability
Experience with optimising CI/CD pipelines
Essential Skills :
The ideal candidate will possess 4 or 5+ years of experience in a commercial DevOps or enterprise IT role.
Advanced proficiency in AWS administration
PowerShell/Bash scripting
Advanced understanding and skills with Terraform/Ansible
Git
CI/CD pipelines
Advanced understanding of Linux Systems (Ubuntu) and Windows systems
Great understanding of security best practice
