Location:
Across all our UK Naval sites including New Malden, Broad Oak - Portsmouth, Frimley, Dorchester or Filton.

Salary:
Up to £60,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Running the Scrum processes and ensuring that best practice is followed within the assigned Scrum team
Working with both the Software team and the Engineering Managers to deliver software work packages
Acting as an exemplar Software Engineer to further develop the software products
Supporting the estimation of engineering activities for cost-to-complete exercises and when scoping/sizing upcoming or additional work
Promoting the use of Agile development methodologies
Coaching and mentoring team members to empower the team to continuously grow and improve
Your skills and experiences:
Practical experience of running a Scrum team, particularly in a DevOps environment
Familiarity with cloud-based software development concepts, including virtualisation, configuration control and CI/CD techniques and tools
Experience in using the Rust programming language and associated toolchain
Experience in using Microsoft Azure and the Azure DevOps toolset

The Naval Ships Combat Systems Product Realisation team:
The BAE Systems Naval Ships Combat Systems Product Realisation team use cutting edge technologies to design, develop, integrate and support naval combat system products that enable navies to protect nations. Our core product, the Combat Management System, is the ‘brains’ of the ship, allowing crews to understand the tactical situation and to rapidly respond to potentially life-threatening situations.
