Job Title: DevOps Engineer (DV Cleared)

Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our FinOps project team within the U.K. Public Sector. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial operations through the effective implementation and management of DevOps practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, contribute to the improvement of financial efficiency, and support the overall mission of the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. DevOps Implementation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for financial systems within the public sector.Drive the adoption of best practices in continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code.
2. Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure to support financial applications.Ensure the scalability, security, and availability of infrastructure components.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with development, operations, and finance teams to bridge gaps and streamline processes.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing technical insights and recommendations.
4. Automation:
Develop and maintain automated processes for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.Identify opportunities for process automation to enhance overall efficiency.
5. Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure and applications.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to financial systems.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in complex, enterprise-level environments.Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS or Azure.Proficient in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with FinOps practices and principles.Excellent scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Knowledge of financial systems and practices is a plus.
