To strive to continually improve the service which NPD provides to internal and external customers by driving process and efficiency improvements. To increase sales through new product development and launches. To maintain and promote H&S objectives.DepartmentNPD: reporting to the NPD Manager.Key Areas of ResponsibilityDelivery of Product development projects. Demonstrable experience in development of wet confectionery products (Icings, glazes, sweet fillings, sauces).Increase technical expertise that can be used to deliver solutions to customer requests.Following the Bakels Stage Gate process, deliver projects in a thorough and controlled manner with a competence in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).Prioritise projects so that the most valuable projects are delivered.Work as part of the NPD team as well as leading cross functional teams to use the best business resources to achieve successful results.Represent Bakels NPD in front of key customers.Support the Team Manager in driving change and continuous improvement.Liaise with quality and production terms to ensure that product quality is right at launch and handed over effectively.Work collaboratively with the wider H&S team to strive to improve the level of focus on H&S in the business.Occasional business travel may be required, with occasional overnight stay if required.
