Development Surveyor (Valuations background)

Job DescriptionWe are partnered with a successful property consultancy to recruit into their development consultancy team, to help grow their team in due to an increased workload. The business is focused on London and the South East, and is a high-performing and fast-paced environment, in which ambitious Surveyors will succeed. They have an excellent track record with both private and public sector clients across all disciplines and have gone from strength to strength through the last few years, growing. The company works with PLCs, SMEs, RPs and local authorities working on: viability advice, s106/CIL obligations, feasibility studies, analysis, development agency and residential valuations.This is an excellent opportunity to join a medium-sized team working on challenging projects, working closely with insightful colleagues as well as industry-leading Directors, who are hands on and involved in every project. They are a small and friendly team of professionals with an enviable and proven track record of supporting and developing their staff into senior property professionals with strong reputations.Your responsibilities will include:Working on development consultancy and valuations across the public and private sectorsPublic sector procurement, compulsory purchase and land assembly advice on town centre and estate regeneration projectsWorking on projects across property classes and at every stage from initial strategy formulation, master planning and feasibility studies through to funding and deliveryUndertaking development appraisals and financial modellingProviding valuations advicePreparing business casesPreparing fee proposals and tendersAssisting with transactions and agency workLiaising with clients and other consultants, such as planners and architectsIdeally you will:Be MRICS or keen to become RICS qualified (depending on level!)Be a RICS Registered Valuer, or have extensive Valuations backgroundBe adept at using Argus and ExcelStrong property understanding across the wider sector including planningBe an excellent communicator with good technical and writing skillsThis really is a brilliant opportunity and will be a springboard forward in your career.
