Job DescriptionDevelopment Manager - Renewable EnergyLondon - Hybrid workingA leading battery storage developer, who is backed by one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies owned by the UAE government, are seeking a Development Manager to join their expanding team. The role will be based out of their Central London office.Benefits on offer:£55,000 basic salary10% company pension contributionPrivate medical cover28 days holiday plus bank holidaysBonus paid annually The role of the Development Manager is to assist in the management of the full development portfolio at every stage of the asset development process. You will have previous renewable energy experience within either solar, battery storage or wind grid scale projects. You will be responsible for liaising internally with the connections, planning, commercial and delivery teams to ensure that sites are developed with the end goal of optimal operational trading from the outset. Some of the responsibilities will include;Support the grid connection team but reviewing capacity maps and working with the tram to identify target areas for new sites Support the grid connections team to manage the formal grid application process including negotiating grid deposits and ensuring acceptance dates and interactivity process is trackedWork with the connections team to ensure best possible outcome of every grid offerConduct site visits to identify target sites to obtain exclusivity agreements signed by landownersIdentify key planning risks on potential sites and discussing implications of risk with planning team.Draft and negotiate Heads of Agreement with landowners and/or agentsLiaise with solicitors, agents and landowners to negotiate Option and Lease Agreements to ensure swift agreement within agreed cost capsProduce a comprehensive handover document once project achieves ready to build status and provide assistance to the Delivery team to ensure smooth transition into constructionEssential requirements for this role;At least 3 years of experience in roles involving utility scale renewable energy project developmentStrong communication skills and able to work in a dynamic fast paced, diverse environmentProven ability to manage multiple renewable projects from inception to ready to build status Advanced project management and negotiation skills Project finance, budgeting skills Contract administration and legal skills If you are interested in finding out more, please call Hannah Turner on 01892 234999 or apply to the advert for consideration.
