To support and assist the Development team in the management of existing projects (including Student Accommodation, Residential, Mixed use and Commercial) to include demolition and enabling packages, new builds, extensions and conversions through effective project management of the development process.Picking the scheme up post planning the Development Manager will assist the Senior Development Managers and or Head of Development to drive, manage and coordinate a team of internal and external personnel, ensuring delivery of high quality projects, on time and on budget.In addition, the Aitch Group own and manage a significant amount of real estate and as part of the role, the Development Manager will be required to support as required any significant refurbishment or capital expenditure projects.Reporting to the Head of Development the Development Manager will follow reporting procedures showing scheme performance against key performance indicators.ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Resourcing§ Capable of chairing, managing and coordinating project teams, both internally and externally.§ Budget accountability across sites responsible for.§ Manage site specific disruption, quality and operational changes.§ Ability to deal and manage works to the existing building stock as part of the retained estate.Problem Solving§ Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld to the highest quality.§ Manage risks and Value engineer.§ Managing resources to ensure the right people are in the right place to deliver quality work, on time, to budget and safely.§ Develop key performance indicators and research analysis action planning.§ Operational crises management and escalation of significant issues.Change§ Identify opportunities to improve project management processes internally and externally.§ Identify opportunities to ‘build for less’.§ Manage internal and external change in a timely and cost effective manner.OPERATING (TECHNICAL) SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Knowledge of the Development and Construction processTechnical background i.e building surveyingConstruction knowledge to a management level.Residential and commercial
experience/awareness.
