Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Development Manager to build and lead high-performing pods of developers. You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and efficient environment where teams can deliver high-quality software at pace andwill act as a guide and coach, empowering your teams to excel and contribute to the company's success.You will have 5 key areas of responsibility as Development manager - team leadership, agile delivery, technical leadership, process management and communication and collaboration.Leading multiple development pods whichconsist of testers right through to team andtech leads,you willfoster a collaborative and positive team environment, delegate effectively empowering team members to develop their skills and careers. You will also be conducting performance reviews and setting team and individual objectives.In terms of agile delivery, you will implement and optimise agile development and testing practices, ensure effective sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups etc. Central to this you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and will be tracking and managingproject progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery.As Development Manager, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies - evaluating and implementing them where efficiency and productivity can be improved.Working closely with the Test and Team Leads, you will establish a testing process and define and implement clear development and test processes for the pods. Ensuring code quality through code reviews, static analysis and adherence to coding standards, you will alsoeffectively manage the dependencies and integrationsbetween pod to promote seamless collaboration.Taking a proactive, clear and conciseapproach to communicating with stakeholders across the organisation to provide updatesand identify and address any issues, building strong relationships with other teams and departments will play a key part in your success.We are looking for somebody with a passion for technology and innovation who has the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in software development (including testing and automation) A strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Azure, C# and REACT framework Ability to demonstrate where / how you have managed technical debt
Proven experience leading and managing development teams. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
