The starting salary is £51,196 which includes allowances totalling £2,841

Our work is highly innovative and no two projects are ever the same.This staff role is an outstanding opportunity for an IT engineer with experience from one of several IT backgrounds who wants to further develop and progress their IT engineering skills. You will be working in an exciting development environment, delivering operational technology solutions to make London safer.You will be part of the team who develop niche technology solutions for unique business issues for operational use both in the office and in the field. Working closely with an enthusiastic and dedicated team, you will be responsible for developing requirements, using your technical experience to design, develop, or support IT systems, working with collaborative tools, and providing hands-on expert assistance to the team to deliver robust and innovative solutions. The work will include the system design from concept through to fully functional systems for operational use, including support.Additional Information• 28 days holiday, rising to 33 at 5 years, plus bank holidays• Contributory Civil Service Pension• Long service rewards, paid overtime available and eligible for Blue Light CardThis post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties.
