With substantial support, including large amounts of funding and guidance from an internationally renowned non-exec board and advisory team, AugmentAero is poised to transform aircraft maintenance globally.Position OverviewAs the Development Developer, you will spearhead the technical development of our enterprise software plaform, crafting an intuitive and effective AR and AI-powered platform for aircraft operators. This hands-on role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovation and we welcome ambitious candidates.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and deployment of AugmentAero's advanced AI assistant software.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UI/UX designers, and aviation specialists, to define software requirements and ensure alignment with industry needs and company vision.Maintain and advance the technical architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in line with best practices and regulatory standards.Drive the adoption of agile development methodologies, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and rapid iteration.Mentor and develop a team of software engineers, promoting technical excellence and a collaborative team environment.Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AR, AI, and aviation, integrating innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities and user experience.Coordinate with external partners, stakeholders, and customers, gathering feedback to inform ongoing development and optimization efforts.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in AR, AI, or related technologies.Expertise in AR development frameworks, AI/machine learning, and modern software engineering practices.Strong proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to AR and AI development (e.g., C++, Python, Unity, Unreal Engine).Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying enterprise-level applications, with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative technical solutions.Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring and guiding teams and stakeholders.What We Offer:Competitive compensation package, including equity options.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology with a potential to make a significant impact on the aviation industry.A dynamic, innovative, and supportive work environment, where your contributions are valued and can drive real change.Access to a network of industry-leading experts and advisors.Professional development opportunities in a rapidly growing tech-startup.AugmentAero is an equal opportunity employer.
