Salary: Starting Rate £11.70, rising to £12.27 after a successful probation period (rates will change from the 1st of April). £1.00 extra for all hours worked between 18.00 - and 06.00

Schedule:

Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern consisting of 2 x 12 hour days, 06 - 18 and 2 x 12 hour nights, 18 - 06.

• 12 hours shift
• Day shift
• Night shift
• Overtime

Requirements of despatch Supervisor:

• Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate forklifts safely
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), such as AS400
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management

• Must have a current driver's licence

• Expected hours: 42 per week

Responsibilities:

As a Step up Despatch Supervisor, you will:

• Picking and Loading
• Goods · Responsible for ensuring all goods are wrapped and loaded onto dispatch vehicles · Clear communication with the production department to ensure consistent stock levels to supply customer demands
• Quality Checks · Ensure that all goods that leave the site are to the required standard of the customer and are packed correctly to customer specification · Check trailer temperatures (as required) are appropriate · Report any issues to the Supervisor or Technical as required
• GMP's · Maintain GMP's. Audit ready at all times
• Health & Safety · Maintain a good standard of cleanliness of all areas, adhering to clean as you go policy · Ensure that all risk assessments are considered when working and preventative measures are adhered to · Completing near miss cards as appropriate · Attending H&S Meetings as required · Reporting of any H&S issues
• CBT/Reach · Driving when required in all logistics areas · Ensure all FLT checks are completed as necessary
• Other Duties · Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed · Take waste bins from Production to the yard area · Bring in packaging components and deliver to the packing area · All other duties and ad hoc projects as allocated by the warehouse manager.

• Implement and enforce business processes and procedures to improve productivity and accuracy
• Supervise a team of warehouse employees, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
• Utilise warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and monitor productivity
• Operate forklift and other equipment as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
