The role of the Designer Aluminium Curtain Walling will involve:
Designer position dealing with a high end range of roofing and cladding systems such as: rainscreen cladding, single ply, composite roofing and cladding, SFS and liquid applied
Produce 2D project specific working and fabrication drawings
Liaise regularly with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to discuss any design related queries
Liaise with systems manufacturers and suppliers
Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries
Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements
Attend weekly design virtually and face to face as and when required
Producing estimates for projects ranging in value from £2k to £1m
Scope to progress into a Senior position
The ideal applicant will be a Designer Aluminium Curtain Walling experience with:
Must have 5+ years Design experience within the roofing and cladding market sector
Familiar with a range of building envelope systems such as: Kalzip Cladding, Rainscreen Cladding, Flat Roofing systems, Composite Roofing/Cladding etc
Must have AutoCAD experience (2D)
Must have a sound understanding of building regulations
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Team player with a positive outlook
Motivated, proactive, and driven individual
Must be commercially aware and cost focused
IT literate (Microsoft Office)
