We invite applications from candidates residing in, or capable of commuting from, vibrant areas such as Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Penarth, Barry, Porthcawl, Neath, Usk, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, Llanfoist, Bristol, Chepstow, and Pontypridd.KEY ROLE HIGHLIGHTSAs a pivotal figure within the organisation, the Designated Individual - Temporary Works will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the highest standards for temporary works.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Validating temporary works procedures from external partiesCollaborating with the pre-construction team to ensure meticulous consideration of temporary works for all tendersAssessing and documenting approvals of the Temporary Works Coordinator on a project-by-project basisMentoring Temporary Works Supervisors and fostering their professional growthProviding invaluable assistance to the Temporary Works Coordinator in effectively managing the works programOffering visionary leadership to Temporary Works Supervisors in identifying medium and high-risk temporary worksAssisting in the thorough review of critical temporary work on projects involving complexity and/or high riskEnsuring individuals in roles of responsibility are suitably competent and well-equipped for project deliveryIDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEThe ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Designated Individual - Temporary Works, ideally Chartered in a relevant discipline, possessing extensive experience in temporary works.Additionally, an ideal candidate should hold a degree/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, demonstrating familiarity with various construction sectors.REWARDS AND BENEFITSCompany Car/Car AllowanceEnhanced holiday entitlementContributory pension schemeAccess to the Reward website for exclusive discounts on retailers, holidays, and moreEmployee Assistance helpline for free and confidential adviceMembership in dynamic Employee CommunitiesJBRP1_UKTJ
