Are you an experienced Design Manager seeking an exciting opportunity with a leading main contractor? We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join a dynamic team, overseeing and managing the design process for projects directed throughout the Midlands region, reporting to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage external design consultants, design subcontractors, and construction team inputs to deliver complete, accurate, and commercially viable design information.
• Ensure compliance of design to project contract conditions, budgets, and required regulations while championing and maintaining BIM principles and procedures.
• Participate in pre-construction activities, lead the design process during the tender stage, and contribute innovative ideas to create bid-winning opportunities.
• Support the team in preparing robust design information for procurement, construction, and programme adherence, while proactively managing the selection and appointment of design consultants and specialist subcontractors.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant field (desirable).
• Proven experience in a Design Manager role within the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Sound knowledge of building regulations and BIM principles.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering excellent service and maintaining positive relationships with clients and consultants.
