They are keen to appoint a Design Engineer to help shape the future direction of the Engineering Business Unit
The Role:
You will be personally responsible for designing both single and multi-operator cellular in-building systems to meet coverage and capacity requirements. Designs will range from small corporate systems for office tenants to large multi-operator shopping centres, corporate venues and stadiums.
Activities include:
On-site surveying of end-user premises to asses buildings for RF propagation and installation routes and determine existing levels of coverage.
Use of CAD software to assist with propagation predictions and compile detaileddesignreports (iBwave, AutoCAD, MS Visio, etc.).
Systemdesignand link-budget calculations to meet UK JOTS and ICNIRP requirements.
Use of RF data collection/analysis tools to evaluate existing coverage levels (TEMS, NEMO, etc.).
Candidate’s Profile:
Essential
Minimum of 5 years iBwave design experience, for single & large multi-operator site requirements (Stadiums, Shopping Centres etc.)
Fluent in all aspects of in-building design – creation of link budgets, ICNIRP assessments, designing solutions to a scope and appraising other design sets for compliance.
Full working knowledge of active RF over Fibre systems
RF Enhancer Design/commissioning experience
Validating newly constructed DAS sites for compliance
Experience designing In-building sites using Nokia / Ericsson / Huawei Radio base stations
Advanced use of RF Tools – IB Wave, Vector network analysers, spectrum analysers, power meters, CW/modulated signal generators, Andrew WCDMA/GSM modulating transmitters, Ericsson transmitters
