Finely tuned it reveals the real questions, unlocks untapped potential, and builds meaningful and memorable brands.As we continue to grow our client portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Design Director to join us in our London studio.You will be a brand-led Design Director who will be managing the creative delivery across a number of strategic brands. You understand how big ideas relate to brand success and will drive points of view that build iconic brands in this client-facing role.This is a permanent role, offered on a full-time or part-time basis (of no less than 4 days per week).WHAT YOU WILL DO- Direct and manage the creative responsibilities of a range of client projects to provide a clear and focused design direction to both the client and internal design team- Build brand worlds for clients to enable agility on a global platform- Deliver exceptional work from a creative lens, from initial brainstorms and pitches through to the final product- Work with clients to drive creative growth for their brand, pushing the boundaries and creating designs which unlock new opportunities and drive future innovationWHAT YOU’LL HAVE DONE- You have previous experience working in a similar agency environment at a Design Director or an accomplished Senior Designer level looking for your next challenge- You have worked with established global clients with a portfolio spanning packaging design, brand identity, activation, and experience- You have led the creative in-house team of client projects from start to finish- You have experience managing a team of junior, middleweight and senior designers across a project to deliver on the client brief in the given timeframeWHO YOU ARE- You are a natural leader, comfortable at identifying responsibilities and next steps within a team and ensuring everyone has full clarity on the scope of a project- You are multidimensional in nature, knowing how big ideas relate to brand success and able to deliver this across any client brief without losing sight of the client’s original ask and objectives- You have excellent creative experience and are able to translate a client idea into real solutions across the design- You have managed more junior design team members, building a positive work environment which encourages growth and out of the box thinking- You possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate appropriately with the Strategy and Client Services teams- You are a proactive self-starter with a curious nature and have the ability to demonstrate creativity about what’s next for the brand and your clients- You are organised and able to make quick and smart decisions- You are a natural problem solverWHAT WE OFFERAlongside a market appropriate salary commensurate with the level of this role, you will have access to an outstanding benefits package including:- 26 days base holiday plus all bank holidays, Christmas closure, Inspiration days and Oxygen days- 5% pension contribution with optional smart salary sacrifice- Hybrid working environment with work from home up to 4 days per week and one day in the studio (Thursday)- Flexible working hours (8-10am and 4-6pm) and 3pm finish Fridays- Monthly home working allowance- Annual salary review and bonus scheme- Performance based promotions- Private medical insurance, health cash plan and life assurance- Enhanced parental benefits- Annual Summer and Christmas party along with various other social events throughout the year- Up to 4 weeks’ ‘Workcation’ every year- A fabulous and fun Studio environment- An active DE&I committee with regular events and talks organisedWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYERElmwood does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, colour, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ELMWOOD LONDON STUDIOWant to see what it’s like to work at Elmwood London?
