This position entails overseeing the financial aspects of data center projects throughout Europe, ensuring they meet budgetary requirements and uphold our quality standards.Your role in our missionManage the commercial aspects of data center projects, ensuring adherence to Iron Mountain's standards and on-budget delivery.Take ownership of project budgets from inception to completion, maintaining cost management throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate with external Cost Consultants, guiding them to deliverables within project timelines and specifications.Work closely with Iron Mountain's Design & Construction Team, particularly the Project Manager, to ensure smooth project execution.Lead regular meetings with Project Teams and General Contractors to monitor changes, ensuring compliance with internal approval processes and effective contingency management.Provide precise and timely cost information for Iron Mountain's Major Development Capital Cost Report, monitoring budget vs forecast, changes, and project outcomes.Analyze project change trends, identify underlying causes, and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts.Valued skills and experienceSeveral years experience as a MEP Quantity Surveyor overseeing the commercial aspects of Data Centre projects.Demonstrated expertise in construction cost management within consulting or client-side organizations.Strong proficiency in budget management, external consultant management, and handling project changes.Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with design, construction, and finance teams.Familiarity with procurement strategies, contract processes, and compliance standards.Knowledge of financial controls and cost reporting.Analytical skills for continuous improvement and cost modeling.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high quality standards.Discover what awaits youDiscover Limitless Possibilities: Embark on an exciting journey with Iron Mountain, a global organization that embraces transformation and innovation.Empowering Inclusion: Join a supportive environment where everyone's voice is heard, opinions are valued, and feedback is encouraged, fostering an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging.Global Connectivity: Connect with 26,000+ talented individuals from 59 countries, opening doors to diverse cultures and fostering global learning opportunities.Championing Individuality: Be part of a winning team that celebrates diversity and encourages individual differences to drive greatness.Competitive Total Rewards: supporting your career at Iron Mountain, family, personal wellness, and wellbeing.
