Design Co ordinator

I have a fantastic opportunity for a Design Coordinator to work for a progressive Main contractor in Derby. The company delivers large, new build and refurbishment distribution and logistics schemes.

The business is looking to appoint a Design Coordinator working closely with the Senior Design Manager on the Education Framework, to support the successful implementation and ongoing management of the design process. Ensuring that the design and procurement of specialist packages are delivered to meet project requirements in line with cost and support to the project delivery teams by providing design input and cost-effective solutions.

Design Coordinator responsibilities:

Reporting to a Senior Design Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule. You will be responsible for ensuring that our appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment. You will be responsible for ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements.

Design Coordinator requirements;

• Relevant degree qualification
• Main Contractor experience
• Experience of Schools and University builds.
• Experience analysing drawings to meet client specifications
• Strong communication skills
• Experience holding client update meetings
• Construction experience including Steel, Cladding and Concrete
• Civil experience and knowledge of Earth Works
• Architectural technicians with at least 2 years of experience of similar projects are encouraged to apply.
