Deputy Service Manager

I have an EXCITING role that is split with 14 hours of Managing the service and 21 hours of hands-on experience. You will be working alongside an experienced service manager developing your skills.

I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Deputy Manager to join a Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. The service, which is located in St. Athan, Vale of Glamorgan supports adults aged between 18 - 65.

The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support.

• Salary: £25,293 - £25,780 (including sleeps) + Plenty of overtime available!
• Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week + 1 sleep per week
• Contract: Permanent
• Shifts: A variety of shifts including optional sleeps including weekends
• Location: ST. Athan

This is a good opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their career from a Support worker, previous management experience not essential, as full training will be provided.

As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
• Planning rotas, management of staff teams,
• Ensuring compliance within the service.
• Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
• Ensuring the safety of the service users.
• Following care plans for each individual.
• Taking service users out into the community.
• Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
• Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements:

• NVQ Or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3
• Senior Support Worker Experience
• Must be resilient.
• Drivers ESSENTIAL due to location
• Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
