RSR Justice, a leading recruitment business dedicated to serving the offender rehabilitation and supervision sectors, is on the lookout for a passionate Deputy Service Manager to join our client, a Christian-based charity in Gillingham, Kent.



In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering top-quality care and support to men with complex needs, ranging from substance misuse to mental health challenges and physical care needs. As a Deputy Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager and ensuring the well-being of service users.

Location: Gillingham, Kent

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Salary: �35,783 per annum



Main Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Support the Service Manager in delivering high-quality care and support

  • Supervise and manage staff, providing relevant advice, support, and training

  • Facilitate effective communication within the service and wider Trust

  • Assist in the assessment and management of risk

  • Manage the referral process and achieve agreed occupancy levels

  • Ensure clients can participate fully in the service's life



Person Specification:




  • A practicing Christian with a commitment to the Christian Mission of the Trust

  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and computer skills

  • Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or similar field

  • Experience in supported housing, care, or voluntary sector

  • Understanding of Christian doctrines and ability to lead in line with Christ-Centred values

  • Experience with Dual Diagnosis and Mentally Disordered ex-offenders

  • Ability to work within a budget and uphold equal opportunities

  • Good understanding of issues affecting ex-offenders/substance misusers

  • Discreet handling of delicate matters

  • Motivated to support disadvantaged groups
