Quarriers James Shield Project are recruiting a Deputy Project Manager to lead and support our team of dedicated Transition Mentors. The project provides an accommodation-based housing support for young people experiencing complex trauma, many of the young people have secondary issues such as, self-harming behaviours, a history of alcohol & /or substance misuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health difficulties, anger management issues and lack of family or social networks.
Weprovide practical and emotional support that involves building positive relationships with the young people. This is a fundamental part of our support as is promoting positive role modelling by creating a safe, nurturing and enabling environment.
As the Deputy Project Manager you will work alongside the Project Manager supporting staff to deliver person-centred care and promote greater independence and inclusion, including health and wellbeing.
You will assist in the smooth running of the service andbe responsible for ensuring that all managers and staff within the teams are fully supported and focused on achieving fantastic outcomes for the people supported at the service. The role will also include administrative duties including submission of statutory returns and be fiscally responsible, ensuring that the service operates within budget.
This is a full time role, working 39 hours per week 5 days over 7. You will at times be required to support shifts and supervise staff.
What you will need to bring to the role
Experience of working in a similar role leading a team.
Recognised Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
Good IT & communication skills.
