Main Duties / Purpose of Job / Function of RoleJob Duties1.To support the CEO, Director of Finance and Corporate Affairs and the Head of Governance & Performance to coordinate and manage the effective and efficient delivery of clients Corporate action plans.2.To coordinate development of the FCAD Divisional Business Plan and KPIs in consultation with the Director and Heads of Branch and to report progress to key stakeholders.3.Assist in the development of clients Corporate and Annual Business plans and coordination of reporting on progress to clients key strategic management groups including the Executive Management Team (EMT) Audit & Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) and Board.4.To take the lead in the development of a Sustainability Strategy and action plan to ensure compliance with climate change reporting requirements.5.To work with FCAD HoBs and Director in the development of strategic initiatives for the Division, including branch business plans, risk registers, business continuity plans, policies and processes.6.Develop and maintain a range of governance policies and guidance across the organization and delivery of training to staff to ensure compliance.7.Monitor and identify new and emerging governance requirements/best practices/areas for improvement and determine potential impact for client8.Review policy & planning initiatives and proactively identify better ways of working while providing timely recommendations on how to deal with specific issues.9.Ensure that all internal branch reporting requirements to the Executive Management Team are fully addressed, including any ad hoc requests for information that may be required.10.Co-ordinate the provision of input required to produce Annual Report and Accounts.11.To Review and analyse business-related data including the development, collation and reporting of Corporate, divisional and branch KPIs, progress on audit recommendations and action plans.12.Develop robust and accurate business cases for approval.13.Attend and contribute toward senior level meetings in the supporting of strategic projects and external audits and reviews.14.To liaise with relevant external stakeholders including Internal Audit, clients sponsor department and NI Audit office to meet external reporting requirements.15.Prepare briefing papers for Director of FCAD and CEO on a range of corporate and divisional issues.16.Ensuring papers are produced on time and to the required standard for Executive Management meetings.17.Ensure Divisional compliance with Corporate Governance requirements.18.Working Secretariat unit to co-ordinate, track and report progress on actions from key corporate meetings and initiatives.19.To oversee the delivery of an effective Secretariat function in the support of the Executive Management Team and Board.20.To coordinate clients responses to external reviews.Specific Experience / Qualifications required1.A third Level qualification.2.At least 3 years’ experience in a governance and business support role to include each of the following areas-?Experience of development of plans/systems/processes to maintain business performance and to meet financial and non-financial reporting requirements.?Experience of providing effective support to senior executives and Board Members.?Experience in corporate governance to include the development of business plans and effective project management.?Experience in the development of business case and governmental procurement processes.?Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.?Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience of delivering to senior management.2.Demonstrable experience of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Relevant Professional Qualification for example: Diploma in Corporate Governance.
